Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-PD-1 antibody tislelizumab, produced for research use only. It is built around human PD-1 (PDCD1, UniProt Q15116) as a fully recombinant human IgG4 protein and is not the clinical drug, nor is it intended for human or veterinary use. As a research-grade biosimilar it is useful wherever a well-characterized, reproducible anti-PD-1 binder is needed: as a positive control or reference standard in binding, blocking, and neutralization assays; as a benchmarking tool for developing or validating new checkpoint-directed antibodies, bispecifics, or ADCs; and in cell-based in-vitro systems probing T-cell activation and PD-1/PD-L1 axis biology. It is supplied unconjugated to allow downstream labeling or format conversion. Material is offered at low endotoxin (research grade <1 EU/mg; ultra-low <0.5 EU/mg) and in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities to support screening campaigns, assay development, and preclinical work requiring consistent lot-to-lot performance at scale.
PD-1 (programmed cell death protein 1, gene PDCD1; UniProt Q15116) is a type I transmembrane immune-checkpoint receptor of the CD28/immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed on activated T cells, B cells, NK cells, and myeloid subsets. Its cytoplasmic tail carries ITIM and ITSM motifs that, upon engagement of its ligands PD-L1 (CD274) and PD-L2 (PDCD1LG2), recruit the phosphatase SHP-2 to dephosphorylate TCR/CD28 signaling components. This delivers an inhibitory signal that attenuates T-cell proliferation, cytokine production, and effector function, maintaining peripheral tolerance and limiting immunopathology. Tumors and chronically infected tissues co-opt this pathway to drive T-cell exhaustion, making PD-1 a central target for checkpoint blockade. Antibodies that block the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction restore effector responses, the mechanistic basis for anti-PD-1 immunotherapy.

Specificity
Detects human PD-1. This non-therapeutic antibody uses the same sequence as the therapeutic antibody Tislelizumab.
Purification Method
This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Formulation
Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2,with no carrier protein, potassium or preservatives added. BSA and Azide free.
Storage
Stable for at least one week when stored sterile at 2-8°C. For long term storage aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –80°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
