Background
This product is a recombinant, unconjugated, non-therapeutic analog of adebrelimab, an immune-checkpoint monoclonal antibody, supplied strictly for research use only (RUO). It is not the clinical drug and is not intended for human or veterinary use. Note that the originator adebrelimab is an anti-PD-L1 antibody; the target and UniProt fields on this card (PD-1 / Q15116) appear to describe the PD-1 receptor rather than the PD-L1 ligand the drug actually binds, and should be verified before listing. Built as a full-length human IgG-format molecule around the checkpoint axis, the analog is useful for in-vitro and preclinical work: as a binding and blocking reference standard, a positive/isotype-matched control in checkpoint assays, a reagent for competition and epitope-binning studies, and a scaffold for ADCC or antibody-engineering development. It is offered at low endotoxin (research grade less than 1 EU/mg; ultra-low less than 0.5 EU/mg) and available in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities, making it suitable for assay development, screening cascades, and larger preclinical studies where a consistent, well-characterized checkpoint-directed antibody is required.
The PD-1/PD-L1 axis is a central inhibitory checkpoint that regulates peripheral T-cell tolerance. PD-1 (PDCD1; UniProt Q15116) is an inhibitory receptor induced on activated T cells, B cells, and myeloid cells. Its principal ligand PD-L1 (CD274; UniProt Q9NZQ7) is expressed on many tumor cells, antigen-presenting cells, and inflamed tissues, and a second ligand, PD-L2 (CD273), is more restricted. Ligand engagement recruits the phosphatase SHP-2 to PD-1's ITIM/ITSM motifs, dampening TCR and CD28 signaling and reducing T-cell proliferation, cytokine output, and cytotoxicity. Tumors exploit this pathway to evade immune attack. Adebrelimab acts on the ligand side, binding PD-L1 to block its interaction with PD-1 (and with B7-1/CD80), thereby relieving inhibition and restoring effector T-cell responses. This distinction matters: the drug is an anti-PD-L1 agent, not an anti-PD-1 agent.
