Background
This product is a research-grade, unconjugated recombinant analog of the anti-TIGIT antibody etigilimab, supplied for research use only. It is a non-therapeutic biosimilar built around the same human TIGIT target and a human IgG1/kappa framework, and it is not the clinical drug and not intended for human or veterinary use. As a laboratory reagent it is useful for functional characterization of TIGIT-directed biology: measuring binding to recombinant or cell-surface human TIGIT, blocking the TIGIT interaction with its ligands, isotype-matched control experiments, and as a benchmark or reference standard in assay development. It also supports antibody-engineering and ADCC/effector-function studies, epitope-competition work, and preclinical in-vitro screening. The material is offered at research grade with low endotoxin (typically less than 1 EU/mg, with an ultra-low sub-0.5 EU/mg option) and is available in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities suitable for repeated experiments and scale-up. Because it reproduces the target specificity of the originator without therapeutic intent, it lets researchers study TIGIT-axis pharmacology and immune-checkpoint mechanisms in controlled experimental systems. TIGIT (T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains; UniProt Q495A1) is an inhibitory immune-checkpoint receptor expressed on T cells and natural killer cells, including regulatory T cells, activated and memory CD8 and CD4 T cells, and NK cells. It binds the nectin-family ligands CD155 (PVR) and, with lower affinity, CD112 (nectin-2), competing with the co-stimulatory receptor CD226 (DNAM-1) for CD155. TIGIT engagement delivers inhibitory signals through its cytoplasmic ITIM and ITT-like motifs, dampening T-cell and NK-cell activation, cytokine production, and cytotoxicity, and it can also promote tolerogenic dendritic-cell signaling via CD155. Because tumors and chronic-infection settings exploit this axis to suppress immunity, TIGIT is a prominent target for checkpoint-blockade research aimed at restoring anti-tumor T-cell and NK-cell function, frequently studied alongside the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway.
