Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-CD37 antibody ivicentamab, produced as a human IgG1/kappa molecule for research use only. It is built around the CD37 target and reproduces the antigen-binding specificity of the originator, making it a useful reference reagent for laboratories studying CD37-directed antibody biology without access to the clinical drug. It is not the therapeutic product and is not intended for human or veterinary use. Because it is supplied unconjugated, it is well suited to serving as a benchmark or positive control in binding assays, epitope-competition studies, ADCC/CDC/ADCP mechanism work, and antibody-drug conjugate or bispecific development pipelines targeting CD37. The material is offered at low endotoxin levels (research grade typically <1 EU/mg; ultra-low grade <0.5 EU/mg) and can be supplied in bulk quantities (milligram to gram scale) to support screening campaigns, assay standardization, and preclinical characterization. Researchers should confirm species reactivity, format, and lot specifications for their intended application before use.
CD37 (Leukocyte antigen CD37; Tetraspanin-26/TSPAN26; UniProt P11049) is a four-pass transmembrane protein of the tetraspanin superfamily. It is expressed predominantly on mature B lymphocytes, with lower levels on T cells, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and dendritic cells, and is largely absent from plasma cells and hematopoietic stem cells. As a tetraspanin, CD37 organizes tetraspanin-enriched microdomains, associating laterally with integrins, MHC class II, and other partners to modulate their clustering, trafficking, and signaling. It contributes to B-cell survival signaling via the AKT pathway, regulates cell adhesion and migration, and can negatively modulate IL-6 signaling through interaction with SOCS3. Its restricted, high-density expression on malignant B cells makes CD37 an attractive target for antibody, radioimmunoconjugate, ADC, and bispecific approaches in B-cell malignancies such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
