Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-OX40 antibody ivuxolimab, engineered around the human OX40 (TNFRSF4/CD134) target and supplied strictly for research use only. It reproduces the target specificity of the originator molecule as a human IgG2 kappa immunoglobulin, making it a convenient tool reagent for laboratories studying OX40 biology, co-stimulatory signalling, and agonist antibody mechanisms without recourse to clinical-grade material. It is well suited as a positive control or benchmarking reagent in binding assays, for probing OX40 engagement on activated T cells, in ADCC/effector-function characterisation, and in antibody-development or biosimilarity workflows. The preparation is offered at low endotoxin (research grade <1 EU/mg; ultra-low <0.5 EU/mg) and is available in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities to support screening campaigns, assay standardisation, and preclinical modelling. It is not the clinical therapeutic and is not intended for human or veterinary use, diagnostic application, or any therapeutic purpose. Researchers should confirm lot-specific specifications for endotoxin, purity, and formulation against their intended experimental application. OX40 (also called TNFRSF4, CD134) is a type I transmembrane co-stimulatory receptor of the tumour necrosis factor receptor superfamily, encoded by TNFRSF4 (UniProt P43489). It is expressed predominantly on activated CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, and constitutively at high levels on regulatory T cells, with expression upregulated following T-cell receptor engagement. Its ligand, OX40L (TNFSF4/CD252), is presented on activated antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, B cells, and macrophages. OX40-OX40L interaction delivers a late co-stimulatory signal that promotes T-cell proliferation, survival, and effector differentiation, sustains cytokine production, and generates and maintains memory T cells. Signalling proceeds via TRAF adaptor recruitment and downstream NF-kappaB activation, enhancing anti-apoptotic gene expression. Because agonism can amplify effector T-cell responses while modulating regulatory T-cell function, OX40 is a prominent target in tumour immunology and immune co-stimulation research.
