Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-B7-H3 (CD276) antibody 8H9, supplied for research use only. It is built around the human B7-H3 target and formatted as a human IgG1 Kappa recombinant protein, making it a convenient reference reagent for laboratories studying B7-H3 biology and B7-H3-directed antibody development. It is not the clinical drug and is not intended for human or veterinary use. As a research-grade biosimilar it is useful as a positive binding control, an isotype-matched benchmark, a capture or detection reagent, and a comparator in assay development and antibody-engineering workflows (for example, when generating or characterizing B7-H3-targeting antibodies, bispecifics, ADCs, or CAR constructs). The material is offered at low endotoxin (research grade typically <1 EU/mg, with ultra-low <0.5 EU/mg options) and in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities suitable for in-vitro assays, protein-interaction studies, and preclinical models. Because it reproduces the target-binding specificity of the originator without therapeutic intent, it supports reproducible, cost-effective experimentation across binding, neutralization, and functional characterization studies. B7-H3 (CD276) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the B7/CD28 immunoglobulin superfamily. In humans the predominant isoform is a 4Ig form containing tandemly duplicated IgV-IgC domains, while a shorter 2Ig form also occurs; a soluble form can be shed. Although initially described as a costimulatory molecule, B7-H3 is now recognized as predominantly co-inhibitory in T-cell responses and as a modulator of NK-cell activity, contributing to immune evasion. Its counter-receptor(s) remain incompletely defined. B7-H3 is notable for markedly restricted expression on normal tissues but broad, high-level overexpression across many solid tumors and on tumor-associated vasculature and stroma, where it correlates with poor prognosis. This tumor-selective expression makes B7-H3 an attractive target for antibody, bispecific, ADC, radioimmunotherapy, and CAR-based approaches, and underlies interest in antibodies such as 8H9.
