Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of inebilizumap, an anti-CD19 antibody, supplied strictly for research use only. It is built around the CD19 target and carries a human IgG1 kappa framework, making it a convenient reference reagent for laboratories studying CD19 biology and B-cell-directed antibody mechanisms. It is not the clinical drug and is not intended for human or veterinary use. Typical research applications include use as a binding and specificity control, as a positive control in CD19 detection or flow-cytometry panels, as a benchmarking tool in ADCC/ADCP assays, and as a starting reagent in antibody-drug-conjugate or effector-function development workflows. The material is offered unconjugated so that users can label, format, or engineer it as needed. Low-endotoxin grades (research grade less than 1 EU/mg; ultra-low grades less than 0.5 EU/mg) support sensitive in-vitro assays and preclinical models, and bulk milligram-to-gram quantities are available for scale-up, assay standardization, and repeated experimental use across a research program. CD19 is a B-lymphocyte-restricted transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily and one of the earliest and most consistently expressed surface markers across B-cell development, from pro-B cells through mature B cells and into most plasmablasts, while being lost on terminally differentiated plasma cells and absent from hematopoietic stem cells. It functions as a positive co-receptor for the B-cell antigen receptor (BCR), assembling with CD21, CD81, and CD225 to lower the threshold for antigen-driven B-cell activation and to amplify BCR signaling through recruitment of PI3K and downstream survival and proliferation pathways. Because its expression is broad and B-cell-lineage-specific, CD19 is a key marker for identifying and quantifying B cells and a validated target for depleting antibody and cell-based therapies directed at B-cell malignancies and autoimmune disease.
