Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of mirzotamab, a human IgG1-kappa monoclonal antibody directed against CD276 (B7-H3). It reproduces the antigen-binding specificity of the originator molecule and is supplied for research use only; it is not the clinical drug and is not intended for human or veterinary use. Mirzotamab is the naked antibody component from which the antibody-drug conjugate mirzotamab clezutoclax was developed, making this analog useful as a defined tool for CD276-directed binding studies and as a scaffold for ADC and payload-linker development work. Typical research applications include use as an isotype-matched binding reagent, a positive control in CD276 detection assays, and a benchmark for characterizing new anti-B7-H3 binders. It is offered as a low-endotoxin preparation (research grade under 1 EU/mg; ultra-low grade under 0.5 EU/mg) and can be supplied in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities to support in-vitro assay development, preclinical models, and standardization across experiments. Lot-to-lot consistency supports use as a reference standard. CD276, better known as B7-H3, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the B7/CD28 immunoglobulin superfamily. In humans the predominant isoform carries a tandem-duplicated 4Ig extracellular region (two IgV-IgC pairs). B7-H3 is minimally expressed on normal resting tissues but is markedly overexpressed on many solid tumors and can be induced on antigen-presenting cells. It functions as an immune-regulatory ligand with context-dependent costimulatory and, more commonly, coinhibitory activity, dampening T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. Its counter-receptor(s) remain incompletely defined. Beyond immune modulation, B7-H3 exerts tumor-intrinsic effects on proliferation, migration, invasion, angiogenesis, and therapy resistance. High B7-H3 expression correlates with poor prognosis across lung, breast, prostate, ovarian, colorectal, and brain cancers, and its tumor-restricted display makes it an actively pursued target for antibody, ADC, and CAR-based approaches.
