Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of inolimomab, an antibody directed against the human interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL2RA / CD25). It is supplied for research use only (RUO) and is not the clinical drug, nor is it intended for human or veterinary use. The recombinant human IgG1-kappa format is built around the IL2RA target to reproduce the originator's binding specificity, making it a useful reagent for probing CD25 biology in vitro and in preclinical settings. Typical research applications include use as a positive/reference binder in CD25 assays, as an isotype-matched comparator, and as a starting molecule for ADCC assay development, antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) engineering, and receptor-blockade neutralization studies. The material is offered at research grade with low endotoxin (typically <1 EU/mg, with ultra-low <0.5 EU/mg options), and in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities suitable for assay standardization, in-vitro controls, and preclinical experimental work. It provides investigators a consistent, well-characterized tool for interrogating IL-2 receptor engagement without the constraints of clinical-grade drug supply.
IL2RA (CD25) is the alpha subunit of the interleukin-2 receptor. Alone it binds IL-2 with low affinity and lacks signaling capacity; assembled with the beta (CD122) and common gamma (CD132) chains it forms the high-affinity trimeric receptor that transduces IL-2 signals via JAK/STAT5, PI3K, and MAPK pathways. CD25 is highly and constitutively expressed on regulatory T cells (Tregs), where it is a canonical marker, and is upregulated on activated conventional T and B cells. IL-2 signaling through the high-affinity receptor drives T-cell proliferation, Treg maintenance, and immune homeostasis. Because CD25 marks activated lymphocytes and Tregs, it is a target of interest in transplantation, autoimmunity, and tumor immunology, and its soluble form (sCD25) is a clinical biomarker of immune activation.
