Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of quisovalimab, an antibody directed against human LIGHT (TNFSF14). It is supplied as a full-length human IgG4-kappa molecule built to engage the same target as the originator biologic, but it is manufactured strictly for research use only and is not the clinical drug, nor is it intended for human or veterinary use. The analog is useful as a well-characterized reference reagent for in-vitro and preclinical work: as a positive control in binding and neutralization assays, as a benchmarking tool when developing or validating new anti-LIGHT reagents, and as a defined blocking antibody for interrogating LIGHT-driven signaling in cell-based systems. It is offered at low endotoxin levels (research grade below 1 EU/mg, with ultra-low options below 0.5 EU/mg) and in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities suitable for assay development, screening campaigns, and standardized preclinical experiments. The IgG4 backbone gives minimal effector function, making it appropriate for studies focused on ligand neutralization rather than Fc-mediated cytotoxicity. LIGHT (TNFSF14) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily, expressed by activated T cells, natural killer cells, dendritic cells, and other immune cells in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. It signals through two receptors, HVEM (TNFRSF14) and lymphotoxin-beta receptor (LTBR), and is also captured by the soluble decoy receptor DcR3 (TNFRSF6B). Engagement of HVEM delivers costimulatory signals that promote T cell proliferation and interferon-gamma production, while LTBR signaling contributes to lymphoid tissue organization, stromal activation, and chemokine expression. Through these pathways LIGHT drives NF-kB activation and amplifies inflammatory and immune responses. Dysregulated LIGHT activity has been implicated in chronic inflammation, tissue fibrosis, and immune-mediated disease, which underlies interest in neutralizing the ligand.
