Background
This product is offered as a research-grade biosimilar of Mevonlerbart: an unconjugated, non-therapeutic analog supplied strictly for research use only (RUO) and not for clinical or diagnostic use. It is presented as a human IgG4, kappa antibody directed against the major cat allergen (reported here as "Felcat allergen 1"). As a biosimilar reagent it is intended to reproduce the antigen-binding behaviour of the originator molecule so investigators can run binding, neutralisation and control experiments without sourcing a clinical drug product. Like other ichor.bio in-vivo and functional-grade reagents it is manufactured to a low-endotoxin specification (research grade less than 1 EU/mg; ultra-low grade less than 0.5 EU/mg where offered) and is available at scale from milligram to gram quantities to support method development, assay standardisation and larger studies. Note that the drug name and target designation on this card could not be independently verified and should be confirmed by ichor.bio before publication; the description has therefore been kept deliberately general and avoids any specific mechanism, affinity or epitope claims. This entry is provided as guidance for ichor.bio to review and edit.
Fel d 1 (Felis domesticus allergen 1), the designation this card most likely intends by "Felcat allergen 1," is the dominant cat allergen and is recognised by IgE in the large majority of cat-allergic individuals. It is a secretoglobin-family protein produced mainly in the salivary, sebaceous and anal glands and distributed onto fur and skin during grooming, from which it becomes airborne on fine particles. The native molecule is a disulphide-linked heterodimer assembled from two distinct chains, each encoded by its own gene. Because Fel d 1 drives a substantial fraction of cat-allergic sensitisation, it is a focus for allergen-neutralising and tolerance-directed strategies, and anti-Fel d 1 antibodies are studied as tools to block allergen-IgE interactions. The exact target identity for this specific product should be confirmed by ichor.bio, as the on-card wording is non-standard.
