Interleukin-5 is the principal cytokine controlling eosinophil maturation and survival, making it a longstanding target in asthma and eosinophilic-disease research. This anti-human IL5 recombinant monoclonal antibody (IgG1, kappa) is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic analog of mepolizumab provided for research use only (RUO). It is formulated to a low-endotoxin standard appropriate for in vivo studies and manufactured at scalable milligram-to-gram quantities so bulk and high-throughput laboratories never face shortages. The reagent serves effectively as a neutralizing control and active tool in cytokine-blockade assays, in vitro eosinophil and binding screening, and preclinical in vivo models of allergic and eosinophilic inflammation.

This biosimilar is stable when stored at 2-8°C. For longer term storage (> 3 months) it is recommended to store this antibody at -20°C or -70°C.
