Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-CEACAM6 antibody tinurilimab, produced for research use only. It reproduces the antigen-binding specificity of the originator molecule (a human IgG2 directed against human CEACAM6 / CD66c, UniProt P40199) as a research-grade reagent, and is not the clinical drug and not for human or veterinary use. Because it binds CEACAM6 without a conjugated payload, it is well suited to functional and mechanistic studies: measuring CEACAM6 engagement and blockade, serving as a positive control or benchmark antibody in binding and neutralization assays, and supporting antibody-development workflows such as ADCC or antibody-drug-conjugate format comparisons. It is offered at low endotoxin (research grade less than 1 EU/mg; ultra-low grade less than 0.5 EU/mg) and available in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities, making it appropriate for assay standardization, in-vitro co-culture systems, and preclinical characterization where lot-to-lot consistency and defined endotoxin limits matter. Use it as a target-directed tool antibody rather than as a therapeutic. Content is provided as guidance for ichorbio to review.
CEACAM6 (carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6; also CD66c, NCA-90/NCA) is a GPI-anchored member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and the CEA family, expressed on epithelial surfaces and myeloid cells. Its extracellular region comprises an N-terminal IgV-like domain and C2-like Ig domains that mediate both homophilic binding to other CEACAM family members and heterophilic interactions, including with CEACAM1 and with integrin receptors, driving intercellular adhesion and downstream signaling. Functionally, CEACAM6 has been linked to inhibition of apoptosis (anoikis resistance), promotion of cell invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and drug resistance. It is overexpressed across numerous carcinomas, including non-small cell lung, colorectal, breast, pancreatic, and gastric cancers, where high expression associates with poorer prognosis. CEACAM6 has also been described as contributing to immunosuppression, making it a target of interest for antibody-based approaches.
Other Names
Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6, CEA cell adhesion molecule 6, Non-specific crossreacting antigen, Normal cross-reacting antigen, Cell adhesion molecule CEACAM6, NCA
