Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-CSF1R antibody emactuzumab, produced as a human IgG1/kappa molecule and supplied strictly for research use only. It is engineered around the human CSF1R (CD115) target, reproducing the binding specificity of the originator so that investigators can interrogate CSF1R biology without the cost or supply constraints of a clinical-grade therapeutic. It is not the clinical drug and is not intended for human or veterinary use. The material is well suited to in-vitro and preclinical research applications: receptor-binding and blocking assays, competition studies, flow-cytometry detection of CSF1R-expressing myeloid populations, macrophage differentiation and polarization experiments, isotype-matched positive controls, and as a reference reagent in ADCC or antibody-engineering workflows. It is offered as a low-endotoxin, research-grade preparation (typically under 1 EU/mg, with ultra-low-endotoxin options under 0.5 EU/mg) and is available in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities to support assay development, scale-up, and standardization across experiments. CSF1R (colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor; CD115/c-FMS; UniProt P07333) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase expressed predominantly on cells of the mononuclear phagocyte lineage, including monocytes, tissue macrophages, osteoclasts, microglia, and some dendritic cells. It binds two ligands, CSF1 (M-CSF) and IL-34, at its extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, driving receptor dimerization, autophosphorylation of intracellular tyrosines, and downstream signaling through PI3K/AKT, ERK/MAPK, and other cascades. This signaling governs the differentiation, proliferation, survival, and chemotactic function of macrophages. In tumors, CSF1R signaling supports the recruitment and maintenance of immunosuppressive tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), making the axis a focus of studies on the myeloid compartment of the tumor microenvironment, as well as bone remodeling and inflammatory tissue biology.
