Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-PSMA antibody rosopatamab, built around prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA/FOLH1, UniProt Q04609). It is supplied as a research-grade reagent for research use only and is not the clinical drug; it is not intended for human or veterinary use. The molecule is a full-length human IgG1-kappa carrying engineered heavy-chain substitutions (E356D/M358L) in the Fc region, provided in an unconjugated format without any radiolabel, toxin, or linker. Because the originator is developed as a radio-antibody conjugate scaffold, the unconjugated analog is well suited to in-vitro and preclinical work where a defined, consistent anti-PSMA binder is needed: antigen-binding and epitope-competition assays, PSMA-positive versus PSMA-negative cell binding and internalization studies, flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry, isotype/targeting controls, and as a starting reagent for conjugation, ADC, or radioconjugate development. It is available with low endotoxin (research grade below 1 EU/mg, ultra-low below 0.5 EU/mg) and in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities to support assay development, reagent standardization, and larger preclinical campaigns.
PSMA (prostate-specific membrane antigen), encoded by FOLH1 and also called glutamate carboxypeptidase II or NAALADase, is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein with a short cytoplasmic tail, a single membrane-spanning region, and a large extracellular enzymatic domain. It functions as a zinc metallopeptidase with folate hydrolase activity in the intestine and N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamate (NAAG) hydrolase activity in the nervous system. In oncology its relevance stems from strong, largely membrane-restricted overexpression on prostate epithelial cells, which increases with dedifferentiation, androgen independence, and metastatic castration-resistant disease, while normal-tissue expression is comparatively low. PSMA also localizes to the neovasculature of several non-prostate solid tumors. It undergoes constitutive and antibody-induced internalization, a property that makes it attractive for antibody-, ADC-, and radioconjugate-based targeting strategies.
