Background
This product is a recombinant, unconjugated, non-therapeutic analog of the anti-CD3 x anti-CD20 T-cell-engaging bispecific antibody glofitamab, supplied strictly for research use only. It reproduces the dual-targeting architecture of the originator drug, engaging CD3 epsilon on T cells and CD20 on B cells, so investigators can study CD20-directed T-cell redirection, immune-synapse formation, and target-mediated cytotoxicity in controlled settings. It is not the clinical medicine and is not intended for human or veterinary use. As a full-length human IgG1 framework built around the CD3 and CD20 targets, it is useful as a positive control and reference reagent in binding, cross-linking, and functional neutralisation assays, for benchmarking novel bispecific or CAR constructs, and in in-vitro and preclinical model development. It is offered at low endotoxin (research grade less than 1 EU/mg; ultra-low grade less than 0.5 EU/mg) and in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities to support assay standardisation, lot-to-lot comparisons, and scale-up work where a consistent, well-characterised research-grade reagent is required. CD3 and CD20 are the two antigens bridged by this bispecific format. CD3 (here the epsilon subunit, UniProt P07766) is part of the CD3-TCR complex on T cells; clustering CD3 delivers activating signals that drive T-cell proliferation, cytokine release, and cytotoxic effector function, which is why anti-CD3 arms are used to redirect T cells against tumour targets. CD20 (MS4A1, UniProt P11836) is a four-transmembrane surface protein expressed on B cells from the pre-B through mature stages but absent on stem cells and plasma cells; it participates in B-cell activation and calcium signalling and is a validated marker and therapeutic target in B-cell malignancies. By simultaneously binding CD3 on T cells and CD20 on B cells, the bispecific format brings effector T cells into proximity with CD20-positive targets, forming an immune synapse and triggering T-cell-mediated killing independent of native antigen specificity.
