Background
CD8 is the co-receptor that defines cytotoxic T lymphocytes, binding MHC class I to stabilise antigen recognition and enable killing of infected or transformed cells. Clone 116-13.1 is a mouse IgG2a kappa monoclonal antibody recognising mouse CD8, validated for depletion and flow cytometry. Anti-CD8 116-13.1 is supplied in a low-endotoxin format suitable for in vivo use and manufactured in scalable milligram to gram quantities for bulk and high-throughput laboratories. As a research-use-only, non-therapeutic reagent, it offers reproducible lot-to-lot performance for in vivo CD8 T-cell depletion and mouse cellular immunology studies.

This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added.
Storage
Functional grade preclinical antibodies may be stored sterile as received at 2-8°C for up to one month. For longer term storage, aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at ≤ -70°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
