Background
CD8a is the alpha chain of the CD8 co-receptor on cytotoxic T cells and a defining marker of the CD8 lineage. Clone 53-6.7 is a rat IgG2a kappa monoclonal antibody against mouse CD8a, validated across immunoprecipitation, Western blot, flow cytometry, CyTOF and frozen IHC. Anti-mouse CD8a 53-6.7 is supplied in a low-endotoxin format suitable for in vivo use and produced in scalable milligram (mg) to gram (g) quantities for bulk and high-throughput laboratories. It is a non-therapeutic, research-use-only (RUO) reagent offering consistent lot-to-lot reproducibility for mouse cytotoxic T-cell studies.

Antigen Distribution
Present on the surface of most thymocytes and a subpopulation of mature T-lymphocytes which include most T suppressor/cytotoxic cells. CD8 participates in T-cell activation through its association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kina
Immunogen
Mouse thymus or spleen
