Clumping factor A is a fibrinogen-binding surface adhesin of Staphylococcus aureus and a virulence factor of interest in anti-infective research. The reagent here is a research-grade, unconjugated analog of tefibazumab, a recombinant monoclonal antibody targeting clumping factor A, for research use only. It is manufactured to in vivo standards with low endotoxin and produced in scalable milligram to gram quantities for bulk and high-throughput laboratories. Applications include adhesin-blockade functional assays, in vitro fibrinogen-binding screens, and in vivo models of staphylococcal infection.
