Application Notes
Blocking: Blocks in vivo IFNb leading to increased the lethality of mice infected with West Nile Virus (WNV), similar to the susceptibility of IFNb-/- mice. Clone HDB-4A7 circulates with a half-life of ~ 14 days. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.

anti-IFN beta In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin (HDB-4A7) is stable when stored at 2-8°C. Do not freeze. For long term storage aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at -80°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.

Background
Interferon beta is a type I interferon that establishes antiviral states, modulates innate immune signalling and influences inflammatory responses. Clone HDB-4A7 is a mouse IgG2a monoclonal antibody to mouse IFN beta, validated for Western blot, blocking and functional assays. Anti-IFN beta HDB-4A7 is supplied in a low-endotoxin, in-vivo-suitable format and produced in scalable milligram (mg) to gram (g) quantities for bulk and high-throughput laboratories. This non-therapeutic, research-use-only (RUO) reagent delivers reproducible performance for studies of type I interferon biology in the mouse, with consistent lot-to-lot quality suited to demanding, large-scale workflows.
