Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of the anti-IL-15 antibody ordesekimab (also known in the literature as AMG 714 / PRV-015), supplied strictly for research use only. It is built as a human IgG1/kappa molecule directed against human interleukin-15 (IL15, UniProt P40933), reproducing the target specificity of the originator drug without being the clinical product and without any conjugate or label. It is not intended for human or veterinary use. The material is well suited to in-vitro and preclinical research where a defined IL-15-neutralizing binder is needed, including cytokine-blocking assays, competition and epitope studies, positive controls for anti-IL-15 detection workflows, screening of biosimilar candidates, and as a reference reagent in ADCC/effector-function or engineering programs. It is manufactured to research-grade low-endotoxin specifications (typically less than 1 EU/mg, with ultra-low-endotoxin options under 0.5 EU/mg) and is available in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities, making it appropriate for scale-dependent and endotoxin-sensitive experiments such as primary immune-cell cultures. Interleukin-15 (IL15, UniProt P40933) is a small four-helix-bundle cytokine of the common gamma-chain family, structurally related to IL-2. It signals through a heterotrimeric receptor comprising the private high-affinity IL-15 receptor alpha (IL-15Ralpha), the shared IL-2/IL-15 receptor beta (CD122), and the common gamma chain (CD132), activating JAK1/JAK3 and STAT5. A hallmark of IL-15 biology is trans-presentation: IL-15Ralpha on antigen-presenting cells captures IL-15 and presents it in trans to CD122/CD132 on responding cells. IL-15 is essential for the development, survival, and homeostasis of natural killer cells, NKT cells, and CD8+ memory T cells, and it promotes their proliferation and cytotoxicity. Dysregulated IL-15 signaling is implicated in inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, including celiac disease and refractory forms, which motivated therapeutic IL-15 blockade.
