Background
This product is an unconjugated, non-therapeutic recombinant analog of grisnilimab, an anti-CD7 monoclonal antibody, supplied for research use only. It reproduces the antigen-binding specificity of the originator against human CD7 while being manufactured as a research-grade reagent rather than a clinical drug; it is not intended for human or veterinary use. The molecule is a full-length recombinant IgG2a-lambda immunoglobulin, useful because it gives researchers a defined, reproducible binder against CD7 for characterizing target expression, epitope engagement, and downstream signaling. Typical research contexts include isotype-matched and target-specific controls, comparability and bridging studies, in-vitro binding and neutralization assays, flow cytometry and immunoassay development, and preclinical model work where a consistent anti-CD7 reagent is needed. It is offered at low endotoxin levels (research grade under 1 EU/mg; ultra-low under 0.5 EU/mg) and in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities to support in-vitro and in-vivo standard workflows, biosimilar comparability programs, and larger screening campaigns requiring lot-to-lot consistency. CD7 is a 40 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed on the majority of thymocytes and mature T lymphocytes, on natural killer cells, and on early myeloid and lymphoid progenitors; it appears among the earliest antigens during T-cell ontogeny. Its cytoplasmic tail links to PI3-kinase signaling, and cross-linking of surface CD7 acts as a costimulatory signal that can enhance T-cell and NK-cell activation, calcium flux, adhesion-molecule expression, and cytokine secretion. CD7 is widely retained on T-cell and NK-cell malignancies, including T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and certain acute myeloid leukemias, which makes it a prominent target of interest for immunophenotyping and for antibody-directed and cell-therapy approaches against these cancers.
