Application Notes

Blocking: Anti-Mouse CD4 (clone GK1.5) is useful for In vitro and In vivo studies of T-helper cell functions including blocking of ligand binding and T-helper cell activation. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.

Background

CD4 is a co-receptor on helper T cells that binds MHC class II and shapes T-cell selection and immune coordination. The widely used clone GK1.5, a rat IgG2b kappa monoclonal against mouse CD4, is validated for Western blot, blocking, flow cytometry, frozen IHC and immunoprecipitation, and is a classic reagent for CD4 T-cell depletion studies. Anti-CD4 GK1.5 is supplied low in endotoxin and suitable for in vivo use, with production scalable from milligram (mg) to gram (g) quantities for bulk laboratories. It is a non-therapeutic, research-use-only (RUO) reagent delivering reliable performance in mouse immunology.
