Background
This mouse IgG2a isotype control carries the aglycosylating N297A mutation and is supplied at extremely low endotoxin, removing Fc glycan-dependent effector function for clean negative-control use. With no relevant target, it defines the background signal and gating thresholds needed to attribute activity to specific binding rather than the IgG2a scaffold in functional and cytometric assays. The reagent is formulated for in vivo use and produced in scalable milligram to gram quantities to support bulk and high-throughput laboratories. This is a non-therapeutic reagent provided strictly for research use only.
Purification Method
This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Formulation
This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added.
Storage
This antibody is stable for at least one week when stored sterile at 2-8°C. For long term storage aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –80°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
